Perks of being a single child-A short story

It was a Tuesday evening. Roshan was heading back to his home from tution. He was
hesitant to go home.He made his small steps back home with much reluctance.
He got his mid-term marks from school. His marks were low.He was not afraid for
getting scolding for his low marks. It was something else. The situation was not
the same a year back. Roshan was a bright student in his class. In fact,he used
to top the class in some subjects. But,everything changed topsy-turvy after some
incidents that happened back last year.

One year ago....

Roshan lived with his family in the small town of Telangana. His father worked in
News channel as a reporter. His mother was a home maker.Their wealth was less,
but happiness was more. His father is a tough man with a rugged voice.Only his
voice is rugged not his heart. He used to take utmost care of his family.
His mother was a calm and composed woman. Her only happiness is making rotis
and chai for her husband and pampering her son.She used to serve roshan with
different kinds of snacks when he returned from school. As we
saw earlier,Roshan used to study very well at that time.It was election time.
His father was reporting the campaign news of various parties. He was a very
reputed reporter of the city.Knowing this in some way,a political party approached
him for promoting his political party without the consent of the channel. They
bribed him with some lump amount. Roshan's father, hesitated at the beginning, later considering his family situation,he accepted the offer. His mother and roshan advised him a lot not to accept their offer. But he didn't listen to them.
He campaigned all over the city favouring that party. The elections got over
and the party favoured by his father won the elections with a remarkable difference
in number of votes.Unfortunately, the news channel came to know about this and they
fired him as the thing his father did was against their norms.
This created much chaos in their family. The channel which praised him as the best reporter, started cursing him. This made them flee from their city.
His parents started to fight daily. As his father was the only bread-maker of their family, their family suffered a lot.His mother started going for work to make out for their family. This created a inferiority
complex in his father and the fight between them started to grow. This disturbed Roshan a lot.He started feeling lonely,as his mother failed to take care of him amidst these chaos.

Months Passed.

Today....
After much thinking,Roshan took the big decision of his life.

To be continued....

What decision did Roshan Take?
How will it affect their family?
Will his decision help their family get back to normal or it will worsen it?
What do you infer from this story?

See you soon,next week:)
Until then, keep guessing in the comments section.
Cheers,
Baru:)

Your Mental Health is Important

There is a saying that 'You are your first friend and enemy all through your life. There is so much life in that words. In every person, no matter how good he  is, has  a little demon residing in him which directs him towards evil thoughts.       Yeah!! It's tough time now. We are living a life far from the normal. Man is a social  animal. We  always like to get surrounded by people. We are used to it. But now, we are meant to be  alone. We  have to distance ourselves from others. But that doesn't mean that you should ignore everyone and live in isolation.   STAY DISTANCED BY PERSON BUT CONNECTED BY HEART.       In this quarantine life, we are all buried into our mobile phones/other gadgets. You may feel that it's the only way to connect to people now. But, it's equally important to take care of yourselves.  Self-care  is the need of the hour. Take time to embrace yourself. Your one word of appreciation to your m...

SUICIDE IS NOT A SOLUTION!!

19 YEAR OLD GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE FEARING THAT SHE WILL FAIL IN NEET EXAM  The girl left a voice note that she was not blaming anyone. She has a fear that she may fail in the NEET exam, though she studied well. Not only this incident,we have heard of many such suicide cases right from the time NEET exam has been made mandatory in Tamil Nadu. After every such incident,we can see Politicians and Social media influencers raising their voice against NEET saying that It Should Be Banned. Is that the only solution? No matter, how tough the situation is TAKING YOUR LIFE IS NOT OKAY!! Whom should we blame? The Politicians, the Medical Council, the Parents or the Students? Whose fault is that? According to me, Banning NEET is not the only solution for these suicide cases. It's all the mindset of students and parents that matters. We have seen many parents pressurising their students to take the exam. Many students commit suicide fearing that they may disappoint their parents. You are failing in just ...
