Justice For Devika-Say NO To Violence Against Women

From the title, you would have come to know what this blog is about. In recent times,we have come across many hashtags similar to this.(Not something to be proud of)

  • Who has created all these hashtags?
  • Why these hashtags have been created?
  • What change does this hashtag bring about?

Whenever any injustice happens to innocent people or any crime committed to them and if the police had not taken any action against the criminal or even if the police arrest the criminal but the justice given by court was not fair enough, our Netizens used to create these kind of hashtags starting with the phrase "Justice for" followed by the victims name. Then people will share these hashtags and post related to this and our social media influencers will raise their voice against it.

In many cases, these hashtags pressurized the police to arrest the guilty and the court has punished them too.A very good example
for this is #justiceforjeyarajandfenix where two innocent people were brutally killed by the policemen and since the hashtag has gone so viral, the court has ordered to arrest the Policemen too.

Now coming to the topic of the blog #justicefordevika. A few days ago, a 17 year old girl named Devika was brutally gang raped and murdered. Her body was found on a railway track in Barium Thanda of Kothagudem in Telangana. This is not the only case reported, there are thousands of similar cases happening around us,be it a child or a teenager or an old woman,be it in North India or South India.

  • Why is this happening around us?
  • Who is at fault?
  • Whom should we blame for it?
The government,the police,the law,the criminal or the criminal's mother.
It's high time that Rape needs to stop. There is nothing to hide. There is nothing to gossip.
It's high time that Mothers need to educate their boys about this. In my opinion, there is no use in arresting the rapist and putting them behind the bars.A new case is going to come up within few months. According to NCRB(National Crime Records Bureau)nearly 33,356 rape cases have been reported across India in 2018(source:Wikipedia)
Lack of Proper education about healthy relationships and intimacy is the root cause of all these crimes.

Stop putting restrictions to your girls.
Start educating your boys.
It is the solemn duty of all the mothers to educate their boys (especially teenage boys)to protect their girls from becoming a victim of such crimes in future because you didn't raise your child for this!!

Stop hiding.
Start speaking.
Let's hope for the change.

Your Mental Health is Important

There is a saying that 'You are your first friend and enemy all through your life. There is so much life in that words. In every person, no matter how good he  is, has  a little demon residing in him which directs him towards evil thoughts.       Yeah!! It's tough time now. We are living a life far from the normal. Man is a social  animal. We  always like to get surrounded by people. We are used to it. But now, we are meant to be  alone. We  have to distance ourselves from others. But that doesn't mean that you should ignore everyone and live in isolation.   STAY DISTANCED BY PERSON BUT CONNECTED BY HEART.       In this quarantine life, we are all buried into our mobile phones/other gadgets. You may feel that it's the only way to connect to people now. But, it's equally important to take care of yourselves.  Self-care  is the need of the hour. Take time to embrace yourself. Your one word of appreciation to your m...

SUICIDE IS NOT A SOLUTION!!

19 YEAR OLD GIRL COMMITS SUICIDE FEARING THAT SHE WILL FAIL IN NEET EXAM  The girl left a voice note that she was not blaming anyone. She has a fear that she may fail in the NEET exam, though she studied well. Not only this incident,we have heard of many such suicide cases right from the time NEET exam has been made mandatory in Tamil Nadu. After every such incident,we can see Politicians and Social media influencers raising their voice against NEET saying that It Should Be Banned. Is that the only solution? No matter, how tough the situation is TAKING YOUR LIFE IS NOT OKAY!! Whom should we blame? The Politicians, the Medical Council, the Parents or the Students? Whose fault is that? According to me, Banning NEET is not the only solution for these suicide cases. It's all the mindset of students and parents that matters. We have seen many parents pressurising their students to take the exam. Many students commit suicide fearing that they may disappoint their parents. You are failing in just ...
